1. The influx of thousands of immigrants mainly from Europe and of Afro-Americans after the start of the Civil War of 1861-65 led to racial violence.

सन् 1861-65 में गृह युद्ध के शुरू होने के बाद से, जब यूरोप और एफ्रो-अमरीकी आप्रवासी हज़ारों की तादाद में आने लगे, तो वहाँ जाति के नाम पर हिंसा शुरू हो गयी।

Besides taking up the matter regularly with the Government of Bangladesh, Government have also taken various measures to curb illegal influx into the country, which, inter alia, include strengthening of Border Security Force (BSF), accelerated programme of construction of border roads and border fencing and improved surveillance.

बंगलादेश की सरकार के साथ इस मामले को नियमित रूप से उठाने के अलावा सरकार ने देश में अवैध घुसपैठ को रोकने के लिए विभिन्न उपाय भी किए हैं जिनमें अन्य बातों के साथ -साथ सीमा सुरक्षा बल को सशक्त बनाना, सीमा सड़कों के निर्माण और सीमा पर बाड लगाने के कार्यक्रम में तेजी लाना, और निगरानी में सुधार शामिल हैं ।
